This course will explore the eras in American history that are distinct periods characterized by unique social, political, economic, and cultural developments.
The major historical eras in US history include Pre-Colonial and Colonial Eras, Revolutionary and Early National Periods, Expansion and Reform, Civil War and Reconstruction, Industrialization and Progressive Reform, World War I and the Interwar Period, World War II, and Postwar America and Modern Eras. This semester will focus on the social impact of wars in the various eras.
