Acting

Quest offers opportunities for would-be thespians in a number of ways. When we were meeting at 25 Broadway, a couple of our members – with professional credentials – led an acting class. In addition, we offered Quest members an opportunity to regularly direct, act and even write their own plays through our Great Plays class.

Unfortunately, the COVID shutdown severely curtailed these activities, but we continue to experiment with Zoom theatrical productions and hope to resume acting classes and our Great Plays class when we return to in-person learning.

In the meantime, several current Quest courses actively encourage class members to prepare readings and dramatizations for the class. These classes include Shakespeare, Oral Interpretation of Poetry, Contemporary Poetry and Israeli Literature. So you should find plenty of opportunities to sharpen your acting chops at Quest.
