COURSES – FALL 2025 / Literature / MORAL TALES FOR OUR TIMES

Coordinators: Lynnel Garabedian, Sandy Kessler

Our class will read several plays in which individuals act morally and bravely in the face of enormous social and political pressure and at great cost to themselves.

The plays include An Enemy of the People by Henrik Ibsen, The Crucible by Arthur Miller, and A Man for All Seasons by Robert Bolt. Our goal is to discuss how to respond honorably to the moral challenges of the Trump era by being inspired by great literature.

A WEEK / TUESDAY / 1:00 – 2:30 PM / IN-PERSON / ROOM 15-17
