NEW & CLASSIC ESSAYS

Coordinators: Steve Allen, Martha Drezin, Ellie Schaffer, Larry Shapiro

Each week the course coordinators will pick an essay designed to provoke new perspectives, to ask us to question assumptions, and to encourage thoughtful discussion.

Topics will range widely and will be drawn from publications such as The Atlantic, The New Yorker, and The New York Review of Books, as well as some on-line only sources. Participants will be encouraged to read the essays prior to the discussion, but verbal summaries will allow meaningful participation without preparation.
